FAQ

Everything you need to know about booking, packages and lessons with Tennex.

How do packages work?

Each package is a bundle of lesson credits, and one credit equals a 1-hour lesson. You book your lessons at times that suit you, depending on coach availability.

How long do I have to use my package?

• 6-lesson package: 2 months

• 12-lesson package: 5 months

Any credits left at expiry are forfeited, so we recommend locking in a regular weekly slot. It's the easiest way to make the most of your package.

Can I try a lesson first?

Yes! Trial lessons are available for 1:1 and 1:2. It's a great way to meet your coach and get a feel for how we train.

How do I book?

All bookings are made through ClassCard. A regular weekly time is best, because it keeps your slot held for you. Ad-hoc bookings depend on availability.

What if I need to cancel?

No problem, as long as you let us know at least 24 hours before. Your credit goes back into your package so you can rebook. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, and no-shows, use up the credit, because your coach and court have already been set aside for you.

What if I'm sick?

Get well soon! Send us a medical certificate covering the lesson date within 48 hours, and we'll waive the late cancellation. You can use this up to 2 times on a 6-lesson package and up to 3 times on a 12-lesson package.

Where do I go and when should I arrive?

Park in the Laguna National Golf Club basement, then head straight to the outdoor sheltered area beside the tennis courts. Please arrive 10 minutes early to warm up so you get the full hour on court. Lessons end on time, so if you're running late, give us a quick message.

What if it rains?

Singapore weather keeps us on our toes! We'll check conditions before your lesson and let you know as early as we can, at least 1 hour before where possible.

• If we cancel, no credit is used and we'll reschedule.

• If we haven't cancelled, the lesson is on. If you decide not to come, the usual 24-hour policy applies.

What if rain or lightning stops the lesson halfway?

For safety, we stop play whenever there's rain or a lightning risk.

• If half or more of the lesson is done, it counts as a full lesson. Where possible, we'll use the remaining time for training in the gym.

• If less than half is done, no credit is used and we'll reschedule.

What if my coach can't make it?

We'll arrange a replacement coach of a similar level or find a new time that works for you.

How do semi-private lessons work?

Semi-private lessons are for groups you put together yourself, such as friends, family or teammates. Here's how they work:

• One person holds the package for the group.

• The group picks lesson times together, and the package holder books them.

• If the lesson goes ahead, one credit is used, however many players turn up.

• To cancel a lesson, the package holder needs to give us 24 hours' notice.

We recommend up to 4 players per coach. Got a bigger group? Get in touch and we can add more coaches.

How do group sessions work?

Group sessions run at regular weekly times, and every player has their own package. Credits are used per player, and the usual 24-hour cancellation policy applies. If someone can't make it, the session goes ahead as normal for everyone else.

Can I share or transfer my package?

Packages are personal to the person who bought them, so they can't be shared, transferred or resold.

Can I pause or extend my package?

If something comes up, such as an injury, let us know as early as you can. We look at each case individually.

Can I get a refund?

Packages are non-refundable once purchased, and unused credits can't be swapped for cash or moved to another programme. If something exceptional happens, talk to us.

What's included and what should I bring?

Coaching, court fees and training balls are all included. Don't have a racket? We can lend you one, so just let us know when you book. Bring court shoes, a water bottle and a towel. There's a water cooler on site for refills.

How do I pay?

Pay by PayNow before your first lesson.

Who can join?

Anyone aged 4 and up, from total beginners to competitive players. Adults are very welcome too!

Can I choose my coach?

Of course. Let us know who you'd like when you book. We'll do our best to keep you with the same coach so you get consistent coaching.

How will I know I'm improving?

Your coach will set goals with you in your first lesson and give you feedback as you go. When you're ready, we'll suggest your next step, whether that's group sessions, match play or our High Performance programme.

Can parents and friends watch?

Absolutely. There's an outdoor sheltered area beside the courts where anyone can relax and watch.

I have a special request. Who do I talk to?

For longer sessions, large groups or anything not covered here, just reach out and we'll sort something out.
